What medical records cost in your state

Every feel overcharged? Wondering if your doctor’s office is charging your the same as everyone else? Or are you getting bilked when you want your medical records.

Here is a great site that lists all of the medical record charges by state. I have previously written about what it costs to get your records in Colorado. Colorado’s regulation is contained in 6 C.C.R. 1011-1, Chapter 2, Part

If you think that’s too high, keep in mind that states like Ohio has a special provision (ORC 3701.741 (C)(1)(e)) that lets patients and their representatives to get one copy of their medical records for free in Social Security cases.
